Employment opportunities at Rectory Farm - Pick Your Own

Rectory Farm Pick You Own and our new café, The Tractor Shack, are opening for business on the 6th April 2017 and we are looking for new enthusiastic staff to work with us.
Shop and Café assistants are at the forefront of our business offering a friendly helping hand to our customers, whether that is advising on which fields are ready to be picked, re-stocking our shelves with fresh strawberries or making a freshly ground coffee.
Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering a friendly and positive service when operating the till
  • Re-stocking shelves
  • Talking to our customers and answering any queries in a positive manner
  • Processing deliveries
  • General cleaning of the shop floor and Pick Your Own in general
  • Working as an active member of the team, supporting colleagues in all tasks
  • Making coffee using an espresso machine (Tractor Shack only)
  • Clearing tables and washing up (Tractor Shack only)
  • Serving food to customers with a friendly smile (Tractor Shack only)
Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in retail would be an advantage but not essential 
  • Previous experience with an espresso machine desired (Tractor Shack only)
  • A courteous and helpful manner
  • Good communication skills 
  • Able to comply with process and procedures
  • Genuine enthusiasm for customer service
  • Flexibility and positive attitude
  • Working within a large farm team
Rectory Farm is a family run business based in Stanton St John village, just outside Oxford. We grow various wholesale crops including potatoes, wheat, barley as well as soft fruit and vegetables that we sell directly to customers in the Spring and Summer season. Within the Farm Shop we have a Café that will be run in house for the very first time in 2017 and we are recruiting staff for both.
The hours are flexible and include weekend work. Perks include a 20% staff discount on produce from the Farm Shop and The Tractor Shack. Salary £7.50/hour with extra pay for weekend work.  
We are looking for people to start in April with more staff added in May and June. Please let us know in the covering letter when you are available.
